Zach Lee, the heart and soul behind our company, has been tinkering with cars since he was just a kid when he worked as the official flashlight holder in his dad’s backyard garage. Those early experiences gave him both a love for all things cars and a determination to be there and care for his family and community.
As an adult, Zach spent many years working in several different shops, most of which kept him away from his family and encouraged him to participate in less-than-honest practices. Zach knew there had to be a better way. He was tired of seeing hardworking families being taken advantage of by unscrupulous mechanics who cared more about profit margins than people. Zach wanted to be part of a business where honesty, professionalism, and customer care were paramount.
Frustrated and ready to give up on the industry, Zach finally found a job at an honest shop, where he was encouraged to reach for his dreams, and was mentored by excellent mechanics. He learned the best practices for honest work and good business skills. Still, even here there was never enough time in the shop to help everyone and many cars sat for days waiting for parts and some families struggled to find time to make it in, causing more problems and higher costs when they finally did come in.
The idea for Zach Lee Mobile Mechanics was born as Friends, neighbors and even strangers would often approach Zach during his free time, asking for his expertise because they couldn’t afford a tow truck or simply didn’t have the time to visit a shop. Recognizing the demand for convenient, reliable automotive services that put families first, Zach and his wife decided to turn these impromptu roadside repairs into a full-fledged business.
